Con Mc Namara retired from the Defence Forces in 2009 in the rank of Colonel and formed his own company (EBCR) in 2011. Con delivers a personalised service to meet your personal or company communication needs.
Profile
He is a graduate teacher of communication studies from the Guildhall School of Speech & Drama London. He is also a graduate of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and holds an MA in Leadership Management and Defence Studies from NUI Maynooth.
He has extensive experience in successfully placing candidates in Senior and Middle management posts both in National and International organisations. In Ireland his focus is in the State, Semi State and private sectors. He has an impressive record in placing candidates successfully particularly in Medical/Health, Aviation, Defence & Security, Education, Local Government, Retail and Marketing, Legal and the IT Sectors.
Lives in Newbridge and is married to Margaret. He has three daughters Elaine, Ruth and Susan.

Common Security and Defence Policy – Mediation Course
Con is a Member of the Staff who deliver the CSDP Mediation Course. EU public servants use negotiation, mediation and facilitation skills as an essential part of daily work. This Course provides an opportunity to explore, practice, develop and hone these skills in a safe, supportive and highly mentored learning environment. The Course will teach students to negotiate for themselves and then to use the mediation process, which includes negotiation, to help other parties to prevent, to manage and to resolve conflict.
More About Maynooth
The course is open to both civilian and military personnel from EU‐Member States, EU Institutions and Agencies, candidate states and selected third countries and will be strictly limited to 18 participants.
Con is an independent communications consultant and a graduate teacher of communication studies. He has significant experience in addressing both national and international audiences. He has worked at the political military strategic level at NATO and the EU in Brussels and also with the United Nations.
He was a member of the Irish Foreign Affairs Delegation at NATO HQ Brussels and later a member of the Irish permanent delegation to the EU Political and Security Committee( PSC). He has extensive experience with the UN in the Middle East and Central America.
